We are looking for several “event coordinators” who would like to plan the event and a number of individuals who would like to volunteer on the night of the event with set-up, clean-up and help during the dance. CLS Hires Two New Managers

posted Sep 27, 2011 1:23 PM by Cheryl Brown

After saying good-bye to Jon Robertson, our former Day Program Manager, CLS has hired 2 new managers to take his place.

Rebecca (Becki) Temple is our new part-time Day Program Manager.  She has years 3 years of experience with this population and 2 years of experience with day services.  She is looking forward to starting the Supported Employment program to give those who are able an opportunity to work in their community.  We are excited to have her and her great ideas for enhancing our programming.

Michelle Ross is our new part-time Residential Manager.  She has 13 years of experience in the field and is also a host home provider for 2 participants outside of our agency.  We welcome her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm as she enhances the quality of living for our residents.

We are thrilled to have both Becki and Michelle as our organization looks ahead to potential growth and changes.  The two of them have jumped in with both feet, already making positive contributions.

Colorado LifeSharing would like to extend a special thank you to Mike Morris and the Front Range PC Users Group.  We contacted them a couple of months ago and they immediately started helping us with our computer needs.  Several members of their  group have spent a number of hours upgrading our software, fixing  our printing and internet problems and making suggestions for meeting our upcoming computing needs.  Having our computers and office equipment running properly, enables us to focus our time on providing our clients the best service possible.  Thank you for your time and dedication.

Green House Yard Gets a Facelift

posted Apr 27, 2011 9:06 AM by Cheryl Brown   [ updated Jun 30, 2011 8:49 AM ]

On Saturday, April 16, the front yard of Green House got a major overhaul.  Volunteers from the CSUnity program along with CLS’s own dedicated volunteers, staff and participants, worked much of the day to make the improvements.  Pavers were added to store the trash cans at the front of the yard, making trash disposal much easier.  The landscaping was weeded and benefited from some new mulch.  The student volunteers were wonderful! They were hard working and fun. They interacted with the ladies during breaks and did a photo with them when they were done. Dana, our partner at B-Sweet (the "cupcake" lady) prepared us cupcakes at lunch.

CLS would like to thank, not only the CSUnity volunteers, but the Todd family, without whom the project may not have been completed.  Wes Todd, helped plot the project and price out the supplies needed. Sam Todd donated the tools needed as well as a trailer to transport the mulch.  Joel Todd worked as foreman guiding the volunteers as well as working hard in the yard as well.

It truly was a community effort from Fort Collins to Longmont and beyond. Thank you everyone!
